Sustanon FAQ
What is Sustanon?
Sustanon is a mixture of four different testosterone esters, used in the treatment of male hypogonadism (low testosterone levels). The main ingredient is testosterone, which comes in different variants. The different variants of testosterone are there to release the testosterone hormones at different rates to provide both fast and long-acting effects of testosterone. In the end, it will increase the testosterone levels in users. As a result, Sustanon 250 increases testosterone in a dose-dependent manner. That’s why it is an anabolic and androgenic steroid (AAS) medication, used to boost testosterone levels. Sustanon 250 is the first brand name of the injectable combination of testosterone of four testosterone esters, produced by Organon. Nowadays, different brand names are available, with different amounts and/or testosterone esters available. The original Sustanon 250 by Organon contains 250 mg/ml, with Testosterone Propionate, Phenylpropionate, Isocaproate, and Decanoate mixture.
How often to inject Sustanon 250?
When prescribing Sustanon 250 to men suffering from low testosterone levels, doctors usually inject it once every 1-4 weeks. Doctors may adjust the dosage and/or injection frequency in response to individual requirements. However, this dosage schedule may not be enough to maintain stable levels of testosterone in the bloodstream (fluctuations may not bring the best results). That’s why, while you can (and should) adjust the dosage and injection frequency based on individual response and requirements, I recommend injecting Sustanon 250 at least twice a week, evenly apart throughout the week, such as every 3-4 days. Divide the weekly dosage into two even parts. But since it has short testosterone esters (such as Propionate) you may divide the weekly dosage into 3-4 equal parts, used evenly apart throughout the week to guarantee maximum stable testosterone hormone levels in the bloodstream (no fluctuations).
How long does Sustanon stay in your system?
Sustanon is a combination of four testosterone esters, some of which are short versions (such as Propionate), but it also has a very long version of testosterone – Testosterone Decanoate. By the time the Decanoate version flushes out of the system, all of the rest testosterones are long cleared from the body. Yet, the Decanoate version has a long half-life, as it will stay in the system for about 18 days or longer. Therefore, the testosterone from decanoate in the steroid will have a longer detection time, with it requiring about 3 weeks or so for testosterone levels to return to the lower limit of the normal range.
How often to inject Sustanon 250 bodybuilding?
While Sustanon 250 is usually administered in a dosage of less than 1 ml per week (less than 250 mg/week) and the administration frequency is usually 2-4 weeks (meaning 1 ml every 2-4 weeks) for medical purposes, Sustanon 250 for bodybuilding is used more frequently (to avoid fluctuations and get the optimal results) and usually in higher doses. The exact dosage depends on various factors such as personal response, goals, and experience. But Sustanon 250 for bodybuilding is also injected more often at least once a week, but usually 2-3 times a week, evenly apart throughout the week. Such as if you plan to use 1 ml (250 mg) per week, then you inject at least 0.5 ml x2 weekly, or even 0.33 ml x3 weekly, evenly apart throughout the week, to maintain stable blood levels. Some even choose to use it every other day (EOD) for bodybuilding.
Is Sustanon good for TRT?
Many people love to use Sustanon for TRT (Testosterone Replacement Therapy), so yes, it is a good product for TRT. In fact, Sustanon’s main use in medical settings is TRT, being the preferred product in the UK for such purposes. Many people choose to experiment with multiple testosterone versions (enanthate, cypionate, Sustanon) and decide which one is a better option for their TRT/cruising protocols. Most people tend to stick to the same testosterone version both for TRT (cruising) and cycle (blasting). This testosterone version is designed to maintain stable testosterone levels with fewer injections, but many claim that it is not able to keep stable levels due to shorter versions, while for others it works just fine. That’s why you would need to decide for yourself as it varies from one person to another. Still, it can make a good option for TRT.
Is Sustanon testosterone?
Yes, Sustanon is basically testosterone. Sustanon is the brand name of a combination of four testosterone esters. Therefore, the active ingredient is basically testosterone, the hormone that is bio identical to the natural hormone testosterone. There’s no difference between Sustanon and any other testosterone version except for the esters and esters only respond to different release times of the main ingredient (testosterone) in the body (bloodstream) after administration. Sustanon 250 contains 30 mg testosterone propionate, 60 mg testosterone phenylpropionate, 60 mg testosterone isocaproate and 100 mg testosterone decanoate in 1 mL (cc) oil. All four versions are esters of the natural testosterone hormone, with different release times. The raw testosterone you get per mL is 176 mg.

Can I take Sustanon 250 alone?
Yes, you can take Sustanon 250 alone as it is basically testosterone. Testosterone injections (such as Sustanon) are pretty much the only anabolic and androgenic steroid (AAS) that you can use alone for the best results and the least side effects for physique and performance purposes. This is because all steroids (including testosterone, such as Sustanon) will suppress natural production. Yet, Testosterone injection will replace the natural one, unlike any other steroid, and this helps you stay away from possible low testosterone side effects, and enhances your physique and performance enhancement goals.
Can Sustanon cause erectile dysfunction?
Sustanon is a combination of four different testosterone esters. The only active ingredient is testosterone, which is bioidentical to natural testosterone. As you may already know, the Testosterone hormone plays a crucial role in the sexual desire and erection in a male. This is a male sex hormone that is extremely important for male sexual characteristics, sex drive, libido, erections, and physical performance. Therefore, it is not common for Sustanon (which boosts overall levels of testosterone) to cause erectile dysfunction. However, using it will actually decrease natural testosterone production. If you stop its use, it could lead to low Test levels, causing erectile dysfunction. On the other hand, using too high a dosage can convert testosterone into estrogen. If there’s too large an estrogen hormone level in the system, it also may cause erectile dysfunction. So, there are only particular cases in which Sustanon may cause erectile dysfunction.
Can you inject Sustanon subcutaneous?
While you can inject Sustanon (or any other testosterone version) subcutaneously, I do not recommend it. Some people and sources even suggest that subcutaneous injection of testosterone (such as Sustanon) is recommended, but that’s a huge mistake. Intramuscular injections remain the preferred method to use testosterone (and the one I would recommend) over subcutaneous testosterone injections for certain reasons. For example, Testosterone is just the active ingredient, but this is an oily solution with inactive ingredients, which could make a subcutaneous injection more painful and more likely to cause post injection issues. An intramuscular (IM) injection is always a better option compared to a subcutaneous (subQ) injection when talking about any anabolic steroids (such as Testosterone/ Sustanon).
Does Sustanon 250 build muscle?
Sustanon 250 is a blend of four testosterone esters. It basically just increases serum (total/overall) testosterone levels in the system after administration. That’s why it remains an anabolic steroid (it is a synthetic hormone version) that can help build muscle, recover faster from workouts, and enhance confidence, well-being, and confidence while boosting strength, energy, and endurance. This is all because testosterone is a hormone that does all of it and higher testosterone levels are associated with higher muscle mass in men. Some suggest that Sustanon 250 can build muscle in men who suffer from low T levels even without workouts and diet. But combining this anabolic steroid with the right diet and training plan can help build muscle extremely efficiently.
Does Sustanon cause hair loss?
Sustanon is an anabolic and androgenic steroid that increases testosterone levels because it is a blend of four testosterone esters. This means it increases testosterone at different release times (due to different esters). In the end, all it does is increase testosterone. Therefore, testosterone converts into DHT (dihydrotestosterone) – a hormone that is known to cause hair loss (the enemy of scalp hair). That’s why people with higher testosterone levels are prone to hair loss. Since Sustanon increases testosterone levels, it may cause/worsen/speed up hair loss in both men and women. In fact, in women, it may produce numerous signs of masculinization (known as virilizing issues) and in men, it may produce androgenic issues. In both genders it involves facial and/or body hair growth, lowering of the voice, head hair loss, and others. Still, hair loss is a side effect that highly depends on your genetics.
Does Sustanon cause water retention?
Sustanon 250 increases overall levels of testosterone. The body will then convert testosterone into estrogen, and estrogen is a hormone that is known to cause water retention. Therefore, the higher the dosage of this product, the higher the testosterone levels, therefore the higher estrogen levels and more likely to cause water retention. So yes, Sustanon can cause water retention in a dose-dependent manner, but there are numerous other factors that play significant roles in water retention such as your diet (especially salt/sodium intake), body fat percentage, personal testosterone to estrogen conversion rate, and other factors.
Does Sustanon increase libido?
Yes, Sustanon does have the ability to increase libido, especially in hypogonadal men (those suffering from low or absent testosterone hormone levels). The lower the levels, the more the libido of a man has to suffer. Adding Sustanon to the mix will increase testosterone levels, which results in an improvement of libido and sex drive, as well as other benefits such as an increase in bone mineral density, lean body mass, a decrease of body fat mass, and others. In the end, testosterone plays a crucial role in improving sexual function, including libido and erectile dysfunction, and Sustanon increases testosterone hormone levels.
Does Sustanon increase sperm count?
No, Sustanon will be unlikely to increase sperm count. While testosterone is required for sperm production, sperm production is stimulated by hormones other than testosterone. Moreover, the level of testosterone in the testicles where sperm is produced is significantly more important than testosterone in the bloodstream. That’s why men with low or borderline low T levels may still have sufficient T levels for sperm production. Still, testosterone contributes to healthy sperm, whereas lower levels may contribute to lower counts or less healthy sperm. The problem, however, is that all anabolic steroids (including Sustanon) will lower the testosterone production in the testicles (the one I mentioned is important for sperm production). That’s because the body stops producing testosterone on its own (and mostly produced in the testicles) since there’s an overflow of testosterone hormone in the bloodstream. That’s why all steroids (including Sustanon) may actually lower sperm count.
How long does it take for Sustanon to work?
Sustanon has four different testosterone esters, one of which is Propionate, a short version of testosterone that will work pretty fast. That’s why, it doesn’t take long for Sustanon to start working, with most people reporting they feel this product working within the first 1-2 weeks, providing noticeable results after about 4 weeks of use. It also has a longer version of testosterone esters such as Decanoate, which will kick in the system and start working significantly longer, but by this time, Propionate fully kicks in and works properly. That’s why Sustanon is popular in the first place – both to work fast and to provide more stable (and longer lasting) effects.
